Facebook suggestion...

No doubt somebody else will pick up on this and make money on it in my stead, if it is a good suggestion to begin with, but I think Facebook should prompt people to list their favorite restaurants, or some restaurants on their list of restaurants to check out. Just think, it would be a good step on completely platonic grounds while at the same time being a nice, understated way to facilitate the scoping out of members of desired sex. It is a clear signal yet way more nuanced than the clumsy categories of "friendship, dating, a relationship, random play, whatever I can get." Let's face it, Facebookers, "friendship" is an interpersonal iPod shuffle button, and seriously, where is the category "really and truly very single," it's hard to think of one that more people pass through at some point.

(Currently, I want to eat at the Laotian place on Willy Street, but things change fast sometimes.)
