When he laughs, I cry

There's something really odd about moments when Bush is inspired to chuckle. As is well known, during a TV interview Governor Bush once mocked a woman's dying words, "No, please don't," and then chuckled at his performance - and a woman whose death he himself had signed off on, still no difficulty making light of the situation. In front of a camera. Or just the other day he's saying something like, If I wanted to break the law, I wouldn't'a consulted a member of congress, hyuh hyuh... or was it, We briefed senators of the united states congress, If ida wan-ned to break the law, why was Ah consulnn a member of congress, hyuh hyuh...

And why is it any comfort that Bush consulted a handful of gagged congress members, anyway? If Bush read undigested and unregurgitated news, he might know that congress itself isn't exactly cutting a firm line with respect to legal propriety these days. Of course Bush knows this though, since the scandals are enveloping principle allies and fundraisers of Bush himself.
